Engineering lessons for kids

It’s been 12 years since the Virginia Department of Education established a children’s engineering program for kindergarten through fifth grade. The program identifies technology-based experiences that enhance the content of selected courses in mathematics, science, and history. Activities range from designing a family map based on mathematical facts and solar cooking (first grade) to loading a supply truck and building bridges (fifth grade). Teachers discuss objectives and preparation for the program each year at an annual convention devoted to the cause.

Engineering and My friends

Hi friends... Do you remember the last interview? Well, I asked the same questions to my classmates and here are their aswers


NESTOR TANG

He thinks that an engineer is as its name says is genial and ingenuity is necessary to use. He purse industrial because his brother is graduate in industrial. He thinks the educational process required that the student know geometry, mathematics, physics and algebra. In his opinion to be a good engineer is needed have a good reaction to solve problems.

After completing his study would start as an analyst FIFO. About his school live the most important has a variety of teachers and partners of classes. The most difficult of engineer student is the hardest part for the raw materials that are stronger.

For his future he wants to graduate, work in Europe 10 years and return to Venezuela to create a signature of engineers. His most personally gratifying moment in engineering school is proud of studying a subject that he liked and now if he likes to thank teachers and partners.

He think the engineering is very important to perform any type of solutions to the problems why is that engineering is a career and to be divided into several entries.

RICARDO MOLINA

He think The Engineering is about the use of the geniality for the management of several situations and use of the imagination for the creation of stuffs to make easy the work. He influenced for chose electronic engineering by the use of the electronics in our ordinary live and the many discoveries about the electronics.

For him the educational process required start by teaching the rights and the duties of an engineer, and then it comes the practical way which it teaches the relatives of the engineering.

He thinks for be a good engineer it’s necessary Has a good performance and a good communication of the ideas for manage the situations. He will look for a job which he can make a good performance, he can go near my home, he can be respected and be considerate, and be wellpayed.

About him school live he remember many new things that he discovering everyday.

The most difficult part of engineering is the many ways for manage him study.

In the future he wants: get graduated, get a job, and has him company, has him car and him house, get married and has a family.

He gratifying moment was when he was able to start studying engineering. He recommend this career because it's made for use many ways to manage situations and it works with combinations of the imagination and the skills of the communication and the creation.

1. Could you please define Engineering in your own words?
Industrial engineering is design and construction of equipment and systems specifc to manufacturing and processing industries (such as petroluem, pulp & paper, mining, water and waste treatment, etc) It spans different engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical, electrical and chemical.

2. What influenced you to pursue, industrial engineering?
My personality, I am a very practical person and I like to be introducing.

3. Could you please describe the educational process required to become an Engineer?
To be an alone engineers it is necessary to have vocation, and witness, the rest is learned in the way.

4. What are the skills you need to be a good engineer?
To be applied, to have creativity and to be a responsible person.

5. What job considerations were you looking for after you completed your education?
To be employed at a company that helps myself to grow as engineer.

6. What's something of your school life that you enjoy the most?
My friends.

7. From your perspective, what is the most difficult part of being an engineering student?
To study a bit of every career.

8. What are your plans for the future?
To travel to Canada and to do a postdegree.

9. Point out your most personally gratifying moment in engineering school.

Because it is a career that offers many opportunities of work.

I create this blog for my English class. Here are going to publish photos, videos, text and others things.
Hi, there! My name’s Marlly, Villanueva. I’m from Maracaibo, originally. I live in Maracaibo, in sector: California. I’m 20 years old and I study engineering at URBE. My favorite subject is mathematic.
I love music, dancing, play the piano, studying English, talking on the phone with my friends, pizza, chocolate and my country.
I hate onions, smoking, getting up early on the weekend, violence, injustice, and cleaning my yard.
My dream is to travel around the world, visit The Eiffel Tower in Paris. Of course, I want to graduate from Engineering School and be a good engineer. I also want to learn to speak French, and mandarin. I’d love to work in an important company and buy a house, get married and start a family.
About English, I love to learn new languages. I think English is very important. I listen to music and watch TV in English. It’s a good exercise. I also chat on the internet and have friends in many countries. I can write well, but I need to practice more. The most difficult for me is speaking. I need to practice more. I hope I can make a lot of friends and practice speaking in this class.
